How to Make a Free QR Code With Your Logo (No Watermark)

Most generators treat "logo in the middle" as a premium feature: you either pay, create an account, or get a watermarked image that looks worse than no logo at all. Technically, though, logo embedding is not hard — and you can do it for free, entirely in your browser.

Why a logo doesn't break the code

QR codes carry built-in error correction (Reed–Solomon). At the highest level ("H"), up to roughly 30% of the code's modules can be damaged or covered and it will still scan. A centered logo simply "spends" part of that error-correction budget. That's also why the rules below matter: the logo must stay small enough that scratches, glare and print defects still have budget left.

Rules for a scannable logo code

• Keep the logo under ~20% of the code's area. Centered, square-ish logos work best.
• Never cover the three corner finder squares — scanners need them to locate the code.
• Use high error correction. Our generator raises the correction level automatically when you add a logo.
• Keep contrast high: dark modules on a light background. Light-on-dark codes fail on many older scanners.
• Test before printing — scan the downloaded file from your screen with two different phones.

Will the logo work on a printed poster or packaging? Yes — export SVG or PDF for vector print quality, keep the code at least 2 × 2 cm, and leave a white margin (quiet zone) around it.

Can I use a colored code with a logo? Yes, as long as the modules stay clearly darker than the background. Avoid gradients that dip below readable contrast.
