The recurring complaints in those reviews follow the same pattern:
- You generate a "free" QR code and print it on menus, packaging, business cards or signage.
- Days or weeks later the code silently stops working — because it was actually a trial-limited dynamic code routed through their servers.
- To make your already-printed code work again, you must pay a subscription — reviewers describe this as being "held hostage" and a "scam", and many report surprise auto-renewal charges that are hard to cancel.

Our binding promises
1. Static codes are free forever — and can't expire
Our static codes are generated entirely in your browser and encode your content directly. They never touch our servers, so there is no server we could ever switch off. No signup, no watermark, no time limit.
2. Your printed codes will never be held for ransom
Dynamic codes are clearly labeled as dynamic before you create one. If your paid plan lapses or you cancel, your existing dynamic codes keep redirecting — we only limit creating new ones. We will never disable a code you've printed to pressure you into paying.
3. One flat price, no games
Pro is $29/year, paid once a year. No per-scan fees, no surprise tier changes, no silent renewal price increases. Your renewal price is the price you signed up at.
4. Cancelling never locks your data
Export your QR codes, destination URLs and scan statistics at any time, on any plan, free. Your data is yours. Deleting your account deletes it from our servers.
How we make money
Simple: some users need dynamic codes — editable destinations and scan analytics require us to run servers, so that's what we charge a fair flat price for. Free static codes cost us almost nothing to offer, and we're happy for most visitors to use them forever without paying a cent.
