Payment QR codes: from "I'll send it later" to paid
Every payment platform gives you a link — PayPal.Me, Stripe payment links, Venmo, Buy Me a Coffee. The link works great in chat and terribly in the physical world: market stalls, invoices, tip jars, gig posters. A QR code bridges that gap: print the code, and anyone with a phone can pay on the spot. HonestQR only encodes your link — the money flows through your payment provider, and we never see it.

Where payment codes work
- Market stalls & pop-ups. No card reader needed — a laminated code next to the cash box takes digital payments.
- Invoices. A code on the printed or PDF invoice opens the exact payment page — fewer "will transfer next week" limbos.
- Tip jars. Musicians, baristas, tour guides: cashless passersby can finally tip.
- Fundraisers & clubs. Membership dues and event fees collected at the door.
- Service completion. Freelancers and trades: hand over the invoice with a scannable payment code.
Security, honestly stated
A payment QR code is exactly as trustworthy as the link inside it. Print codes only from links you control, and test with the scan tester before printing. HonestQR static codes are generated in your browser — we never see your payment link, take no cut, and there is no middleman redirect unless you deliberately choose a dynamic code (whose destination you control in the dashboard).
Start from the payment template
The tip/donation template presets a "SUPPORT US" frame — one click, then paste your payment link:
Set up in five minutes
- Copy your payment link from your provider (PayPal.Me, Stripe, Venmo, Buy Me a Coffee...).
- Open the generator with the tip/donation template and paste the link.
- Add a clear label frame ("PAY HERE", "TIP US") so scanners know what they are opening.
- Download, print, and verify the printed piece with the scan tester.
FAQ
Does HonestQR process the payment? No. The code opens your payment provider's link; the transaction happens entirely on their side. HonestQR takes no cut and never sees payment data.
Can I change the amount or provider later? With a dynamic code, yes — repoint the same printed code from one payment link to another (new provider, new amount page) anytime.
Is a payment QR code safe? As safe as the link you encode. Generate codes yourself from links you control, and beware of stickers pasted over codes in public — verify yours periodically.
Which payment platforms work? Any platform that gives you a URL: PayPal, Stripe, Venmo, Cash App, Buy Me a Coffee, Ko-fi, GoFundMe and most banking apps with pay-me links.
