The WiFi password conversation happens dozens of times a day in cafés, offices, clinics and guest rooms — and the password is always sixteen characters with a capital somewhere. How WiFi QR codes work
- A standard, not a trick. The code encodes network name, security type and password in the WIFI: format that iOS and Android cameras understand natively — no app.
- Fully offline. Everything is inside the image. No server, no redirect, nothing to expire — it works in a basement with no signal.
- Private by construction. The code is generated client-side: your WiFi password never leaves your browser.

FAQ
Does it work on both iPhone and Android? Yes. Both platforms scan WiFi codes with the native camera and show a "Join network" prompt — no app required on any phone from roughly 2018 onward.
Is my WiFi password uploaded anywhere? No. The code is generated entirely in your browser; the password is encoded into the image on your device and never sent to us.
What happens when I change the password? Static WiFi codes encode the password itself, so regenerate the code (free) and reprint. If reprinting is a burden, print a dynamic code pointing at an instruction page you edit instead.
Hidden networks? Yes — tick the "hidden network" option and phones will join even though the SSID does not broadcast.
